Kumy's Cure
Kumys (Kymyz) treatment is a developing form of health tourism in Kyrgyzstan during the summer season.
Kumys is a dairy product obtained by fermenting mare’s milk. Doctors recommend it in the treatment of tuberculosis, gastritis, diseases of the pancreas, anemia, neurasthenia and cardiovascular diseases. There are places in some regions of the country that offer professional Kumys treatments along with other recreational services. Another place to drink kumys is Jailoo (midsummer pastures), where you can rent a bozui (round yurt) for a few days to enjoy this magical drink.
